Mongolia celebrates the Naadam Holiday from July 11 to July 15 each year. Mongolians passionately commemorate their nomadic lifestyle and heritage over the course of five days. The celebration begins on Mongolia’s National Day, Revolution Day, which marks the 11th of July, 1921, celebration of Mongolia’s independence from China. The Naadam festival is officially hosted in Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar, and tickets are required for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as certain other activities like wrestling. The celebrations, also known as ‘the three games of man’ revolve around three nomadic sports: archery, horse racing, and Mongolian wrestling.
